I
use a P-Mag and regular magneto combination on
a 0-320 Lyc. in a
Wag-Aero Sportsmen 2+2. Last
year I lost complete electrical power on a one hour flight over some
pretty rough country (Ontario
Canada).
The Lyc didn’t miss a beat like
nothing had ever happened. The
flight was totally uneventful other than the lost of navigational
equipment.
When
taxiing at home base, I noticed a vibration at low RPM.
The P-Mag was dropping of because of
the low RPM. I increased RPM
a bit and it ran smoothly.
