The E-MAG ignition can work with either automotive or aircraft style spark plugs.  

Kit Components

Both Auto Plug and Aircraft Plug Harness:

• E-MAG's custom low resistance spiral wound wire.  
• 90 degree terminals and EPDM rubber coil boots - Boot adds 0.75" to E-MAG's 6" frame length (6.75" overall).
• Crimp Tool for installing terminals. 

Auto  Kits (only):

• 90 degree High-Temperature silicone plug boots and terminals.
• Plug Adapters with gasket (ordered separately)- Plug adapters will allow common automotive plugs (14mm) to fit aircraft (18 mm) engines. 
• Auto Plugs (ordered separately)- E-MAG has not attempted to evaluate or compare the features, benefits, or shortcomings of the various styles.  Even so, we do offer a generic set-up plug.  Owners should always evaluate plugs for suitability in their individual installation.  For convenience, we post a list of plugs that have been reported to give good service.  No doubt, there are many other makes and styles to choose from.
  • NGK BR8ES  2.5mm Center Electrode (our standard "set-up" plug)
  • NGK BR8ET  3-Ground Electrode
  • NGK BR8EV  Gold Palladium Center Electrode

Aircraft Kits (only):

• Aircraft Plug Fittings ("cigarette and spring") are pre-installed on one end of the leads.  

• Aircraft Plugs (not provided)- The aircraft fitting is designed for standard 5/8-24 plugs.  Plug styles similar to REM37BY are easier to widen plug gap to the recommended .030" to .035".
